Dr Sunil completed his General Surgery training from Prestigious Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh. Post completion of his MS, he pursued his MCh in Gastrointestinal and HPB Surgery from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, under guidance of Dr Rajesh Gupta who is the pioneer of Liver and Pancreatic Surgery. He then went on to further hone his skills as a visiting scholar at University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, USA, under Prof. Raja Kandaswamy who is pioneer of Multi-Organ Transplantation. Dr Sunil is also dedicated to medical research to advance treatment options and on patient education. He is a frequent speaker at national and international meetings. Dr Shenvi has to his credit countless medical papers and publications in Liver, Pancreas, Biliary Diseases, Pre- and Post-Liver Transplant Management

Clinical Assistant Professor, Division of Transplant Surgery, Department Surgery, Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, USA, where he gained his ASTS Fellowship in Multi-Organ Transplantation.

Expertise

  • All facets of liver transplantation including preoperative assessment and management of patients with organ failure
  • Living and deceased donor liver transplantation including transplantation of patients with antibodies against donors (blood group incompatible and positive cross-match transplantation)
  • Pancreas transplantation and donor operations, surgeries of benign pancreatic diseases like acute and chronic pancreatitis
  • Surgeries of cancer of bile duct and gall bladder
  • Complex vascular access surgeries for Hemodialysis
